Artist's Comments

I half wasn't going to post this but I think it may come in useful for someone somewhere out there in cyber space, plus theres a new sub section in 'tutorials' especially for 'artisan crafts' :p

I guess this a bit more of a tip than a tutorial but I have talked through steps to make your own beading needle as I have found it virtually impossible to string beads using normal/bought needles......

Also I'm almost out of butane which means no more soldering until I buy more plus I broke my saw (i did buy a new cheap one which is awful to use) and I haven't received the crochet cotton I ordered I'm at a loss for what to do :p *sigh*

Ha! This is a great tip. I have been stumped by this very scenario and this is a great way around it!

as a fanatic beader and with a fav media of the smallest of the smallest (jap seedbead #15) i reckon any beadshop will sell you a size 12 bead needle. they often look at me as if im crazy but yes this needle combined with a fine wire (i can look up the brand for you if you want) works a treat! :) i can always manage going through a size 15 bead about 3 times with that wire and needle... so you should have no problem :)
your tut is btw is a good one... however i have seen it in a lot of beadingbooks before :) still reckon that if acces to a beadshop is difficuld its a great idea and i bet some devwatchers will put it to good use
